On Tuesday, Delcy Rodriguez, Venezuela’s Vice President and Oil Minister, met with Vietnam’s President Luong Cuong.

They held discussions in a room at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi, where the figure of revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh and the flags of both countries were displayed.

Rodriguez arrived in Vietnam on Monday night to “strengthen investment and work ties” in areas such as oil, agriculture, telecommunications, and other sectors.

During the visit, Venezuela and Vietnam will also address investment links in other fields like construction, health, culture, and tourism, thus consolidating a 35-year historical relationship, she said.

On October 19, the Vice President met in Caracas with Vietnam’s Ambassador to Venezuela, Vu Trung My, to “strengthen commercial cooperation and reaffirm the willingness of both nations to increase trade exchange.”

Rodriguez arrived in Hanoi after visiting India, where she met with India’s Oil Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, to explore ways to leverage Indian companies’ investment in Venezuela’s energy industry.
